Your inputs — salary, state, filing status, tax year, pay frequency — and the figure you expected. That's usually enough to reproduce it.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no sign-up, no email required, and nothing to log into.
Does it work without a connection?
Always. The app makes no network requests of its own, and every tax bracket is bundled inside the download. The only time it talks to anything is the optional SalaCal Pro purchase or a restore, and that goes through the App Store or Google Play.
How do I delete my data?
Settings → Clear all saved data wipes everything. Deleting the app does the same thing.
Which states are supported?
All fifty plus DC, including the nine with no state income tax. State tax is applied as a simplified flat rate.
Is it really free?
Seven of the nine tools are free, with no ads and no tracking: salary take-home, debt payoff, savings goals, mortgage, offer compare, hourly ⇄ salary and compound interest, plus the Plan Overview and the tax tables. SalaCal Pro is a single purchase — no subscription — currently $9.99 as an introductory price, rising to $19.99 after launch (buy at the launch price and it stays yours; the rise only applies to new purchases). It unlocks the monthly budget, the dividend planner, spreadsheet and PDF export, and the Vintage Riso themes. Bought it on another phone? Tap Restore Purchases on the paywall or in Settings.
